Krispy Kreme bacon hotdog donut

A bacon hotdog donut sounds like something Homer Simpson would dream up, but it's real.

Donut maker Krispy Kreme (KKD) partnered with a minor league baseball team in Delaware earlier this year on the hotdog stuffed in a glazed donut topped with bacon and raspberry jam.

The Wilmington Blue Rocks asked fans in March to come up with a name for what they called "baseball's sweetest weenie." A few weeks later, the "Sweenie Donut Dog" was born.

Now, in another sign that hotdogs are the new bacon, KFC has produced the "Double Down Dog." Yes, it's a hotdog wrapped in fried chicken instead of a bun.

Strangely, the chicken/hotdog combo is not available in the United States. KFC is only selling it for a limited time in the Philippines.
